ERMP will cooperate with NAMI. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) has over 210,000 members in 1,200 affiliates across the country. The NAMI movement focuses specifically upon those mental illnesses that are brain disorders. These are serious illnesses that can affect a person's ability to think, feel and relate to other people and the environment.
NASA/JPL Project
ERMP is collaborating on the project with GeneLights Productions, a digital media company that creates educational art and entertainment to illustrate scientific concepts. Dr. Maja Kricker, founder and Executive Director of GeneLights will assume the position of Assistant Director of the NASA/JPL project
We strive to ultimately inspire teens to seek out science and technical vocations appropriate for the exploration of space, creating a golden era for space adventure and discovery.
ERMP has set a goal to assist our nation's youth in recapturing that sense of space travel excitement through humanity's timeless art of music! NASA and the staff of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will use our creations in its educational programs. We have been asked to produce music videos that are "cool and edgy" to attract a young teen audience.
ERMP will attract local bands to write songs about elements of our solar system. Each song should relay images and facts about each heavenly body so young adults will enjoy the song, learn the words and in the process, concepts about the planet or solar body.
When completed, the product will be reviewed by the parties participating and then sent to JPL/NASA for their use in educational programs in schools, NASA mobile exhibits and presentations, National Space Day at the Smithsonian's new Air and Space museum in D.C., and possibly as part of a permanent display at the Kennedy Space Center.
