Eno River Media Production is a totally volunteer run nonprofit 501(C)(3) company located in the heart of the North Carolina piedmont. It was established in 1999, as a vehicle for highlighting local nonprofit organizations, musicians, artists, and creative entrepreneurs. Our mission is to promote and support North Carolina's unique arts community, nonprofit organizations and positive entrepreneurial spirit, through a variety of media. Our goals are to vastly increase exposure of the unparalleled talent and resources found in North Carolina and provide training for volunteers wishing to increase production, acting, or nonprofit management skills.
2009-05-28 ERMP Receives Digital Bay Gift
Anthony Dowling, Executive Producer for Eno River Media Production announced Wednesday morning the donation of our third HD digital media editing bay worth $12,000 to ERMP from an Atlanta, GA entrepreneur, David Gilliam.
Mr. Gilliam, Tuesday May 26th, 2009 presented to Anthony Dowling, ERMP’s CEO and Executive Producer, another state of the art HD digital media editing bay. Anthony stated “With this HD capable machine, editing advanced digital media, ERMP is poised to achieve great strides in reaching our goals for 2010. We believe it will help ERMP evolve into the TV and Film industry player it hopes to be, and we thank Mr. Gilliam for his continued help and support for our organization.”
Mr. Gilliam has been a resident of Atlanta, GA for over 20 years. He is an entrepreneur involved in the telecommunications industry for over 29 years.
2009-04-22 Two ERMP BOD Move to Los Angeles
Anthony Dowling, Executive Producer for Eno River Media Production, headquartered in Durham, NC announced Thursday morning that John Kearns and John Day, members of ERMP’s Board of Directors have relocated to Los Angeles, California to work and network with entertainment industry professionals.
John Kearns and John Day have just completed working ten days for the producers of “Notes The Movie” ( www.notesthemovie.com ).
Mr. Kearns stated: “We realized that there was a great opportunity for both Eno River Media Production and myself to grow our businesses together by relocating to Los Angeles. Within two weeks of relocating, the producers for “Notes the Movie” contacted us and hired us to assist in the production shoot. Relocating to California now, will be seen as a wise move in the future. We have the opportunity to establish a respected name on the West Coast by offering clients a complete solution for their marketing needs as well as their production needs for digital media in the Los Angeles entertainment industry.”
About John Kearns, Jr.
Director - Eno Shorts Division
Award-winning writer-director-producer-cinematographer John Kearns, Jr. has written, directed, and produced two short films; directed two short films; written (created), directed, and produced two television pilots; executive produced a national television series; written four screenplays; cinematographer for three shorts and two music videos; and many other projects.
He has worked for companies that include Sony Pictures Television, Paxson Communications, Women's Entertainment, Time Warner, and countless other notable companies. His first three shorts, New Disguise (2000), Life-N-General (2001), Caught In The Act (2003) have shown at numerous film festivals. In 2005,. John's project, Palmetto Pointe (2005) was picked up for distribution and was broadcast on Paxson Communications - I Network (The United States sixth broadcasting network).
He is the recipient of the Atlantis Film Festival Award for Best Message from the Atlantis Adventure Film Festival. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, John worked for Time Warner Cable and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Religion and a minor in Film Communications from Liberty University.
As a volunteer joining the ranks of ERMP in June, 2007, John will be contributing as a Director in the Eno Shorts Division.
2009-04-09 ERMP Member Renews with NY National Academy of Television Arts and Science
On April 09, 2009 Anthony Dowling, Executive Producer for Eno River Media Production, headquartered in Durham, NC announced Emily Edwards, Phd, an Eno River Media Production Board of Directors member, renewed her membership to the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. This is ERMP’s second member of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences.
About Emily D. Edwards
Emily D. Edwards is an associate professor of broadcasting and cinema at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She received her Ph.D. in Journalism from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1984. She has been a television news reporter, producer, copywriter and television creative services director for NBC and ABC affiliates in Alabama and Tennessee. Her book, Metaphysical Media: Occult Experience in Popular Culture (Southern Illinois University Press, November 2005) is an in-depth discussion of media presentation of a wide spectrum of the occult - everything from urban legends reported in the media following the September 11th attacks to examination of the media viewing as an out of body experience. Her book also serves as a comprehensive sourcebook of movies and television programs that deal with supernatural characters and themes. The producer or director of more than fifteen films, Edwards has also published articles on documentary filmmaking, popular music, the occult and popular culture in journals such as The Journal of Film and Video, TDR, Southern Speech Communication Journal, Southern Folklore, Sex Roles, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Journal, Popular Music and Society, and The International Documentary Association Magazine, among others. She has contributed chapters to books such as Current Research in Film, Hauntings and Poltergeists, and Adolescents and Their Music.
Edwards screenplays have received Awards of Excellence in blind, juried review in the 2003 and 2005 International BEA Festival of Arts in the Faculty Screening Writing Competition. She has also received awards for screenwriting in the University Film and Video Production Screenwriting competitions, Twin Rivers, and Bare Bone International Screenwriting competitions among others. Her documentary and narrative films have received awards from UFVA Faculty competitions, The George Lind-say Film Festival, Bare Bones International Film Festival (among others) as well as screenings through festivals and television broadcasts nationwide.
As a volunteer joining the ranks of ERMP in January 2007, Emily will be contributing primarily as a Consultant.

2009-03-22 The Last Breakfast wins a Telly Award
Eno River Media Production is pleased to announce that it’s recently completed short movie “The Last Breakfast” written by Chad Smith and directed by Aravind Ragupathi has received a Telly Award:

2009-03-19 ERMP and Silent Edge Entertainment in Alliance
Anthony Dowling, Executive Producer for Eno River Media Production, headquartered in Durham, NC announced Thursday morning the launch of a new venture established with Silent Edge Entertainment, LLC.
Silent Edge Entertainment LLC ( http://www.silentedgeentertainment.com/ ), headquartered in Havelock, NC, is an entertainment and production company established in 2007, known best for its variety of unique talents. Silent Edge Entertainment specializes in various types of set design and theatrical lighting; provides Artist Management to talent, such as musicians, bands, etc.; and offers graphic design, printing, and advertising services.
The two firms have formed a partnership to extensively assist in joint business development by combining their talent pools and resources to deliver a full and complete suite of marketing and interactive multi-media to a wider and eclectic client base.

2009-03-15 ERMP Member Joins NY National Academy of Television Arts and Science
On March 15th, 2009 Anthony Dowling announced Lorraine Messina, an Eno River Media Production volunteer, joined the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. Lorraine has also applied to judge the Advanced Media category for the Emmy entries.
