Constellation Cafe Grand Opening

It is with great pleasure that we announce Constellation Café

Virtual Dining for Pleasure and Purpose

The Volunteer Center of Durham invites you to attend a special benefit to help celebrate an important program being launched by our friends and colleagues Earl and Wanda Boone, founders of Durham Together for Resilient Youth (Durham TRY). Please see invitation below.  The Boones are renovating the old Hartman's Steakhouse on Geer Street and creating a wonderful place for children and families to learn and grow and heal. The program will include tutoring, enrichment programs, mentoring, preschool and after school programs, the Constellation Cafe and much, much more.  It's definitely worthwhile to come learn about all the great things the Boones have planned. From what I understand, the old Hartman Steakhouse is a Durham landmark and hotspot which has been vacant for several years. The Boones are bringing it back to life in an amazing way. In addition to the Volunteer Center of Durham, the program has the support of The Partnership for a Healthy Durham, The Durham Center, The Durham County Health Department, The City/County Violence Prevention Committee and Starbuck's Coffee.

Giving Inspiration for Tomorrow Benefit June 8, 2007 7pm

A benefit to support Durham TRY and Constellation Cafe, a personal growth and enrichment center offered in an after school setting for youth. Our youth will experience structured programs for supporting school success, citizenship and job readiness, exposure to the arts, and the Constellation Garden.

"I Don't Wanna Stop" Video Contest

Ozzy wants a video for his new single "I Don't Wanna Stop". He knows there are tons of talented fans and video directors out there that have what it takes to put it together. So that's where you come in.

Ozzy and his band shot performance footage of the entire song on green screen from multiple camera angles. Footage is posted at www.ozzy.com/idontwannastop for you to download. The director can download performance footage and then make your own video using your preferred type of video editing software.

Use all of your own footage, use some of the band's, it's all up to you, just use your imagination. And remember, it's Ozzy, so make it fucking ROCK!

Visit www.ozzy.com/idontwannastop for all the contest details!

Update on ERMP Durham Studio

Folks a great deal has happened since I announced our acquisition of a facility in Durham - our brick and mortar effort.

The first place that was offered to ERMP to use as a production office was at 122 West Parrish Street in Durham.

Plans and designs were made to build in the space

ERMP went to Home Depot and they said they would donate a large amount of materials for our buildout efforts.

Once the owner saw the plans, he realized that the space was too small for what ERMP had in mind and what he had in mind for the space.

The owner gave our space at 122 West Parrish Street away to a book store and arranged for a space at 124 West Parrish Street for the ERMP production office.  It is 2.5 times larger than the first space.  Much more room for a classroom setting.

The production office will have the following elements:  a classroom, tv studio, offices, conference room, editing bays, mail/copy room, restroom and mini kitchen.

Through classes on various subjects, ERMP should help offset the monthly rent and hopefully garner some money into our treasury.

Pictures are attached of what the space looks like currently.\

We now are waiting for new plans and designs for the new space so we can get material estimates to help us know what to ask for from Home Depot and Lowes.

June 2007 will be a great month!!!

Wesley - The Movie, Help Needed

This Saturday, May 19th, we need to find 8+ volunteers to help clean out the old gym at the Methodist Children's Home.  The Children's Home is allowing us to use the gym as a soundstage to build the set for the ship scenes in WESLEY.

We need help from 10 am - noon this Saturday.  PLEASE EMAIL me at john@founderypictures.com or call our office at 336-946-2080 to let us know you will be coming!  If you can bring a vacuum, broom or cleaning rags and bucket even better!  Work gloves would also be helpful.

It's not a horrid mess, just lots of dust and old bikes that need moving. The Children's Home is located at 1001 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem.

I know lots of our list subscribers are in other parts of the country -- if you can't help clean, remember you can still pray for the project!    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
